Panto chorus leads to lifetime together for Vicky and Hazel

Panto chorus leads to lifetime together for Vicky and Hazel
October 30, 2016 – Moyvalley Hotel and Golf Resort

A chance meeting as part of the Bray Musical Society’s production of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ led to a lifetime of love for Vicky and Hazel. They couple now call the Wicklow town their home. Although they connected during that meeting, it turned out that Hazel and Vicky had met before.
A photo found in Hazels’ parent’s house showed the two on stage together performing in a play at the age of four. The couple had discussed marriage for a while, before Vicky officially popped the question in September 2015 and then they got married over a year later at the Moyvalley Hotel and Golf Resort in front of 175 of their family and friends.

The Wedding Team
Hazel found her wedding dress at Smart Brides in Portlaoise, while Vicky opted to go online for her dress and purchased it from Topwedding.co.uk and the rainbow coloured bridesmaids also came from the same place. CT2 in Blanchardstown, Dublin took care of the suits and the flower girl dressers were bought in Heaton’s.

Hazel’s mother Gill knitted the cardigans and Bray flower shop Fleurtique created the brides’ bouquets. Gill also created a sumptuous chocolate biscuit cake and Plúr Cakes by Aoife made rainbow cupcakes for guests with food allergies. Friends of the happy couple performed the musical duties at the ceremony and the band at the wedding reception were The Prickly Pairs.

David McLean of DMC Photography snapped everything on the day and the couple also chose Ryan Mortell to video their blissful occasion. The invites were designed by Hazel’s brother Adam and printed by Dermot O’Connor.

The gorgeous hair styles on the day were provided by Sandra Begley, while Pat Dunne (Vicky) and Make Up by Deborah (Hazel) were on make-up duty. Hazel and Vicky travelled to Costa Rica on their honeymoon that they booked with Club Travel.

Can you tell us in a few words how great the Moyvalley Hotel and Golf Resort for your wedding? The Venue was perfect. We had our ceremony in Balyna House followed by the evening reception in the Moyvalley Hotel. The wedding coordinator Orla is super.

How great was it working with your photographer DMC Photography? David was a pleasure to work with. He captured the day just as we wanted it.
