Hey Barry, tell us a little bit about yourself:
I have been a full-time professional musician for the last four years. I have been performing for wedding couples around Ireland and abroad for over 12 years. I studied music performance, theory and composition at third level. When I’m not performing or rehearsing for weddings I enjoy writing my own music and spend a lot of time touring Ireland and Europe performing my own songs at festivals and venues.
What made you decide to start singing professionally?
I have always had a passion for music and singing and a few years back I decided to dedicate my life to music.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
I enjoy working closely with the all my clients to put together a unique selection of songs and hymns and that will enhance their wedding ceremony.
What is your most requested song from couples getting married?
There are numerous, but I have a long list of songs to choose from and I regularly enjoy introducing people to songs and hymns they may not know but they end up loving. I take great care in tailoring each set of songs to suit the couple.
What is your number one tip for couples choosing their wedding ceremony music?
Take time to choose songs that are important to you and your partner. Also, always ask your Wedding Singer/Musician for advice if you need it.
