Aoibheann’s Pink Tie mission is to provide practical and financial support to children suffering from cancer in Ireland and their families.
This event was created to raise money for a fantastic children’s cancer charity, and gave ladies the chance to wear their wedding dress again, or occasion wear – with pink accessories for all.
Guests were welcomed on the pink carpet with arrival drinks while enjoying fun photographs being taken.
Mike and Paul, of Funky Fashion Frolics, judged the Best Dressed competitions, when awards were given to the Best Bride, Best Man, Best Lady and Best Couple.
One of the stand out surprise moments of the night was when an ice cream van was driven onto the dancefloor to supply sweet treats to revellers who definitely needed a cool down!
Angela personally thanked her “wonderfully supportive guests” who “really made the night”.
In total, €5,037 was raised in aid of Aoibheann’s Pink Tie. A phenomenal amount of money that was a cumulation of donations from attendees who purchased tickets, supported the raffle, bid in the silent auction and made individual cash donations.
Angela, of Sapphire Weddings and events could not have been more grateful for the results. “I cannot tell you how much this means, and I know the charity are incredibly grateful”. She is already planning another event, scheduled for Autumn 2019, in aid of the same charity.
From all of us here at Irish LGBT Weddings, congratulations on the amazing result!
