Jason Bryan and Joe Westman began their love story six years ago. It just so happened they were in
the right place at the right time, or so they recall. Jason, from Daingean, Co.
Offaly is currently studying and Joe, a Tullamore native is a psychiatric nurse.
The pair first set eyes on each other in their local town just over six years
ago.
After chatting, it wasn’t long before sparks were flying and they arranged to
meet again for a date. They went to the cinema to see ‘Letters to Juliet
followed by a few drinks in a local pub and the rest is history! The pair are
now living happily together in Kilcormac, Co. Offaly. One day while
romantically strolling around the grotto on the grounds of Charleville Castle,
Jason proposed to Joe and of course, he said yes! After five years a date was
set and the stunning Annebrook House Hotel in Mullingar was the chosen venue.
The wedding was coordinated by the Annebrook House Hotel’ in house wedding
coordinator Amy Cross.
WEDDING DETAILS
Joe and Jason shopped locally for their wedding outfits and wore suits from
Galvin’ in Tullamore on the day. The groom’ ladies’ dresses were bought in
Menarys and My Fair Lady in Tullamore.
Surrounded by friends and family, their ceremony was full of love and
officiated by Romy McAuley. ‘Romy made us feel at ease from the very beginning.
She was able to make the ceremony fun and enjoyable but at the same time,
highlighted the important bits and always emphasised that it was about love.
Their chosen flowers were miss piggy rose (coral) and navy orchids supplied by
Aoife from Sheefin Flowers.
The wedding cake was made by Orla from Kildare Treats and the invites were
sourced from Partyloons. Joe and Jason organised entertainment that would keep
the floor full. ‘During the ceremony we had a very talented local young lady
named Kerrie Penrose who was accompanied by Jacqui O’Meara. The band for the
afters was ‘The Secrets’ from Clara, Co. Offaly. They were fabulous and
everyone loved them. Every single song they played had people on the floor
dancing and they knew how to keep the crowd going. They also provided the
DJ.”
The couple chose the
song ‘I’m Yours’ by Jason Mraz for their first dance. ‘We chose this song as we
felt the words of the song say so much. ’Jason and Joe’ wedding guests were in
for a very special treat. ‘For our wedding favours we got Yankee Candles with
our names and date of wedding on them.’ Also, the unity candle for the had
their family crests on them.
HOW
WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH DMC PHOTOGRAPHY?
‘David, our photographer was a pleasure to work with and was so professional on the
day. He allowed us to meet him when suited us and was also available through
social media. David offered a personal service and allowed us to feel at ease
throughout the day. He worked with us both on and off site for photos. David’
experience provided us with the photos that we have received from the day and will
provide us with a visual reminder of such an important time in our lives.’www.dmcphotography.ie
