A mutual love of rugby brought Lynn and Olivia together, and for them the spark was undeniable.
Special needs assistant Lynn popped the question one evening after work when she gave pharmacy technician Olivia a large box, under the guise it was a gift from one of her students. Olivia opened box after box until she got to the love letter hidden in the centre. When she turned around after reading it, Lynn was on bended knee with Olivia’s stunning emerald engagement ring in hand.
The happy couple chose to return to Lynn’s native Cavan to celebrate their nuptials in Crover House Hotel, surrounded by 185 of their closest friends and family.
The Wedding Details Lynn found her dream dress in The White Room, Mullingar, while Olivia found hers in Drogheda’s Frilly Frocks.
Their styling team consisted of hairdresser Jonathon Brennan with makeup by Deirdre Sweeney and Keara Kelly who perfected the brides’ looks in the morning.
Paula Casey from Gibbstown designed the floral arrangements to fit the autumnal theme, while a family friend made their wedding cake.
For entertainment, wedding singer Doug Sheridan entertained guests until Drogheda based band Clockwise took over for the reception celebrations.
For their honeymoon, the gorgeous couple booked the first solo holiday in their seven years together to Lanzarote.
Favourite Memories “It was honestly the best day we have ever lived and the love we felt from everyone that day was overwhelming. When we met getting married was a dream that maybe someday it would happen for us, but to actually get to live that dream is something that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. It was perfect from the moment we woke up to when we closed our eyes.”
Special Touches Lynn and Olivia wrote their ceremony themselves, with help from officiator Kevin Mallen. They made sure to include friends, family members and special memories from their childhood in the ceremony; “Alot of our guests commented on how personal & unique it was.”
“We had a rugby ball thrown around the ceremony by our guests who play with us, it was brilliant as we kept it a surprise!”
Tell us about your experience with the Crover House Hotel? “Crover House Hotel was out of this world! We got five-star treatment from the day we went to view it. Especially Karyn the wedding coordinator. She was an absolute diamond!”
How great was it working with Joanna of May 22 Photography? “Joanna was absolutely a superstar. She traveled from Galway to Cavan on the morning of the wedding and didn’t leave until well into the dancing which was well after 11pm. She captured every little detail of our precious day with such vision. She didn’t pester us for posing or pull us away for photos at any stage. She managed to catch us naturally soaking up the best day of our lives and we cannot thank her enough for the precious memories she captured in our wedding photos. She was truly amazing!”
